New Faculty/Staff: Ryan Lemke

Ryan Lemke will be serving as a science teacher at FVL, teaching sections of Biology and Chemistry. Ryan will also be coaching JV1 girls' basketball and JV boys' soccer.

Before coming to FVL, Ryan served as dorm supervisor, taught Physics, Biology, and Religion and coached girls' and boys' varsity soccer at Michigan Lutheran High School.

"My three years as dorm supervisor were over, and I was prepared to go back to the assignment committee at MLC," Ryan said. "I was very excited to have an opportunity to continue teaching science at the high school level, and FVL is an amazing and growing school."

Hometown: Benton Harbor, MI (He has also lived in St. Cloud, MN and Elkhorn, WI.)

Favorite Bible Passage: Jeremiah 29:11 -- "'For I know the plans I have for you' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"

Talents/Interests/Passions: "I love soccer, whether that is playing, coaching, or watching on TV."

What most excites you about serving at FVL: "Getting to meet all the new people I will be serving with."
