Caleb Kolell

Home Church: Mount Olive, Appleton

Favorite Bible Passage: Isaiah 40:31 -- "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint."

Following graduation, Caleb will be attending UW-Eau Claire to study either Kinesiology or Actuarial Sciences. Caleb was involved with many extracurriculars at FVL, including cross country, track and field, band, and more, and will miss the memories they gave him. He is also excited to start this new chapter of his life at UWEC.

Best memory from FVL -- "Running at the Lutheran Invitational during my junior year on the track team. I was the last runner for the 4x400 meter relay and we had to get in first to get the win for the guys' team. Our team's seed was 5th out of six places ... We were sitting in second place when I got the baton. I came down the final stretch and I was right behind the first place runner. During that stretch, I passed him and I won the race for my relay team and the whole guys' team. I can remember everyone screaming until the end. It was one of the best feelings in the world."

Teacher/coach/staff member who made an impact -- "My cross country coaches ... Mr. Sehloff and Mr. Degner. They pushed me to the limits to be the best I was and they supported and encouraged me throughout four years of running."

Good luck Caleb! #FutureFriday
